About the Role

Work Type: Full time, onsite, contract to hire Compensation: $20-22/hr Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, managing the entire order lifecycle from purchase order receipt through delivery and fulfillment.
  • Process and validate sales orders in NetSuite, ensuring accurate pricing, product details, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Prioritize and manage orders based on urgency, order type, and delivery timelines.
  • Coordinate procurement activities for non-stock, drop ship, and swing load orders, including supplier communication and lead time tracking.
  • Source, negotiate, and secure freight carriers across various transportation modes, while managing shipment bookings and freight-related documentation.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain shipping, compliance, and customer documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, certificates, hazmat paperwork, and export documents.
  • Monitor shipments and order statuses, providing proactive customer updates and resolving delivery issues before customer impact occurs.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, EPA, hazardous materials, and international shipping regulations.
  • Track and manage order fulfillment, carrier performance, freight invoices, and logistics costs.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints, freight claims, RMAs, and corrective action requests.
  • Maintain accurate records, customer account SOPs, and performance metrics within NetSuite.
  • Participate in daily operational meetings, communicate order risks, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, logistics, supply chain, transportation, or order management.
  • Knowledge of freight transportation modes including LTL, FTL, bulk, tank, drayage, ocean, or international shipping.
  • Working knowledge of DOT hazardous materials regulations (49 CFR) and shipping compliance requirements.
  • Strong experience managing multiple orders, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to negotiate carrier rates and resolve logistics challenges under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail with experience handling shipping, compliance, and regulatory documentation.
  • Proficiency with ERP, transportation management, or logistics systems; NetSuite and FreightPOP experience preferred.
  • Experience in chemical distribution, regulated goods, or similar industries preferred.
  • Knowledge of NACD Responsible Distribution standards is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify process improvements and drive operational excellence.
Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
