Job Summary The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and supporting timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. This role performs complex accounting activities, reconciliations, financial analysis, and audit support while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP. The Senior Accountant works closely with Finance and operational teams in a multi-entity healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities - Lead assigned activities for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Maintain and analyze key general ledger and balance sheet accounts.
- Perform P&L and balance sheet variance analysis and explain significant fluctuations.
- Prepare and support financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and eliminations across multiple entities.
- Partner with FP&A, Tax, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Operations to resolve accounting issues.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and requested documentation.
- Maintain effective accounting controls and supporting documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and close efficiency.
- Assist with accounting system enhancements, integrations, and automation initiatives.
- Support special projects, acquisitions, integrations, and other financial initiatives as needed.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of progressive general ledger accounting experience with demonstrated month-end close ownership.
- Healthcare industry experience required, preferably in a physician practice, MSO, or multi-entity healthcare environment.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with multi-entity and intercompany accounting.
- Strong experience with journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, Power Query, and large-data-set analysis.
- Experience with NetSuite and/or FloQast preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience - Private equity-backed or high-growth organization.
- Process improvement, accounting automation, or ERP implementation experience.
- Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, or organizational growth.
Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $105,000.00 per year
