We're partnering with a growing surveying and geospatial firm seeking an experienced
Party Crew Chief to join its Ellicott City team. This is a hands-on field role leading a small survey crew across a diverse mix of projects throughout the region.
Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate a small field survey crew
- Perform boundary, topographic, construction stakeout, control, and infrastructure surveys
- Operate GPS/GNSS, robotic total stations, and other modern survey equipment
- Interpret plans, plats, maps, and project specifications
- Maintain accurate field notes and ensure quality field data
- Coordinate with Project Managers and office staff to keep projects on schedule
- Troubleshoot field conditions and take ownership of day-to-day crew operations
Qualifications- Prior land surveying field experience
- Party Chief/Crew Chief experience preferred; experienced Instrument Operators ready to step into leadership will also be considered
- Experience with GPS/GNSS and total station equipment
- Experience with boundary, topographic, and/or construction surveying
- Ability to read plans and work independently in the field
- Valid driver's license
Compensation & Benefits- $25-$40/hour, depending on experience
