About the Role
Fire Sprinkler Engineer Drafter
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Fire Sprinkler Engineer Drafter to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate fire protection system drawings, layouts, and hydraulic calculationsusing AutoCAD, Revit, and specialized software such as AutoSprink. This role supports the design and implementation of fire sprinkler systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with NFPA codes and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft and design fire sprinkler systems using AutoCAD, Revit, and AutoSprink
Interpret architectural and mechanical plans to produce fire protection layouts
Perform hydraulic calculations and prepare schematic riser diagrams
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure design accuracy
Revise drawings based on feedback and field conditions
Maintain documentation and drawing standards in line with NFPA and local codes
Support project coordination and timely delivery of design packages
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in fire protection drafting or related engineering field
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; experience with AutoSprink is highly preferred
Strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems and NFPA codes
Ability to read and interpret construction documents and MEP plans
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or related field
Licensed Mechanical Engineer or equivalent certification is an advantage
Tools and Software:
AutoCAD, Revit, AutoSprink, Fire Elite, PlanSwift, MS Office
Familiarity with BIM 360, Navisworks, Bluebeam, or similar platforms is a plus
