About the Role

The Science Team at Pride Health is currently supporting a client in the Electric Utility industry and is having the Wetlands Technical Specialist which is 100% Remote Position Summary: Seeking Environmental Permitting Specialists to support wetlands protection and water quality compliance programs.This role focuses on technical review, quality control, and oversight of consultant-prepared environmental documentation related to wetlands and waterway jurisdictional delineations, permit applications, and supplemental regulatory submittals.

The position requires close coordination with environmental teams, project stakeholders, consultants, contractors, utility operations groups, and regulatory agencies to support environmental permitting strategies and ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.Additional Details: Pay range: $37 - $47/hour on W2 as per your experience Contract Length: 12 Months with the possibility of extension Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and provide quality control for wetlands and waterway jurisdictional delineation reports.
  • Support preparation and review of permit applications and supplemental environmental documentation.
  • Coordinate with environmental consultants and internal project teams regarding permitting requirements and project status.
  • Support environmental permitting strategies and provide recommendations based on project needs, wetland science, and regulatory requirements.
  • Track projects, manage environmental data, and provide administrative support as needed.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies to support compliance efforts and permit processing.
  • Support communication and collaboration across environmental planning, biology, construction, and operations teams.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental compliance standards and safe work practices.

Regulatory Knowledge Required
Strong working knowledge of:
  • Federal Clean Water Act
  • Porter-Cologne Water Quality Control Act
  • California Fish and Game Code
  • Wetland and waterway permitting processes within California
Experience working with regulatory agencies including:
  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)
  • State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB)
  • Regional Water Quality Control Boards (RWQCB)
  • California Department of Fish & Wildlife (CDFW)

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of general Water Quality compliance experience
  • 3+ years of regulatory permitting and negotiation experience in California
  • 2+ years of jurisdictional water and wetland delineation experience
  • Completion of a minimum 40-hour Wetland Delineation course with applied project experience
  • 2+ years of resource and project planning experience
  • 2+ years of experience using:
    • ArcGIS
    • Google Earth
    • Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Adobe tools
    • Geospatial systems


Must be authorized to work in the United States.
