About the Role
The QTI Group has partnered with a client in the greater Madison area to hire its next Mechanical Designer.This is a great opportunity for someone with 1-3 years of experience operating within various design systems in a manufacturing setting.The ideal candidate will have experience working with SolidWorks and AutoCAD, creating both 2D and 3D drawings.
ResponsibilitiesOperate within design software to assist with drawings and designs supporting multiple engineering departments Work closely with customers to design and develop modifications of existing products Produce proposal drawings, certified drawings and additional technical support documentation Assist with BOM creation, part number creation and other projects Qualifications 2-year degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent experience Proficient with AutoCAD software, experience in both 2D and 3D modeling desired Experience working within Microsoft Office and ERP systems, SAP preferred Demonstrated problem solving and resolution skills
