Manufacturing Operations Analyst (48)

Business Services & Consulting

About the Role

Operations Analyst

RiteScreen is seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Operations Analyst to support operational performance and value-creation initiatives across our manufacturing operations. This is a remote, U.S.-based position embedded in the day-to-day performance of our plants.

In this role, you will serve as a trusted analytical partner to operations leadership — pulling and transforming complex operational data from the plant floor and our production systems into clear insights that drive efficiency, cost reduction, and performance improvements. You'll workcross-functionally with production, maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to improve reporting, identify root causes of operational challenges, and support practical shop-floor improvements.

This is a manufacturing operations role — not a business or systems analyst role. Your focus is operational and production performance (scrap, downtime, throughput, variance to standard, plant KPIs) pulled from real shop-floor and ERP/MES/WMS data — not software requirements, system implementations, or business-process documentation. It's ideal for someone who enjoys digging into messy or incomplete manufacturing data, building structure where it doesn't exist, and helping plants make better decisions through better data.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Performance & Analytics

  • Pull and analyze production losses including scrap, rework, downtime, changeovers, and speed loss, and quantify their financial impact.
  • Perform variance analysis for labor, materials, overhead, and manufacturing performance vs. standard.
  • Develop and maintain standardized dashboards and KPI reporting that provide clear visibility into plant performance across locations.
  • Standardize metrics, definitions, and reporting cadence to ensure consistent performance measurement across the manufacturing network.
  • Translate complex operational data into clear insights and recommendations for plant leadership and executive teams.

Data Infrastructure & Reporting

  • Work directly with ERP, MES, WMS, and manual shop-floor data sources to reconcile inconsistencies and establish a single source of truth for operational data.
  • Create and maintain data definitions, mapping, and governance standards, including metric definitions and master data alignment.
  • Improve reporting efficiency by automating reports and reducing manual spreadsheet processes while keeping solutions practical for plant use.

Continuous Improvement

  • Support root cause analysis using structured problem-solving tools such as 5-Why, Pareto, and Fishbone analysis.
  • Assist with Lean initiatives, including standard work, visual management, daily management routines, and Kaizen events.
  • Track initiative outcomes including cost savings, capacity improvements, service gains, and quality improvements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Planning, and Procurement to strengthen data capture and operational decision-making on the floor.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear shop-floor actions and leadership summaries.
  • Support operational rhythms including daily huddles, weekly operations reviews, and monthly business reviews.

Planning & Execution

  • Assist with capacity planning, labor planning, and line scheduling analytics.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and constraints.
  • Provide ad hoc operational analysis for plant leadership including downtime trends, staffing needs, supplier impacts, and service recovery opportunities.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–4+ years of experience in operations analysis, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, or a related analytical role — ideally in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate operational data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, charts; Power Query a plus).
  • Experience working with large, real-world operational datasets.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization, from the shop floor to the executive team.
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong sense of ownership.

Technical Skills

  • Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
  • SQL for data extraction
  • Power BI or Tableau for dashboard development
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing financial drivers and operational cost structures

Preferred Experience

  • Manufacturing or production operations environment (strongly preferred)
  • Continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
  • KPI and dashboard development
  • Process mapping and operational analysis
  • Forecasting, scenario modeling, and trend analysis
  • ERP, WMS, or MES systems
Additional Information
  • This is a remote, U.S.-based role. Occasional travel may be required to support RiteScreen's manufacturing locations.
  • This role offers the opportunity to build structure, improve operational visibility, and directly impact performance improvements across the organization.
Work Authorization

This position is open to candidates who are currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship. RiteScreen does not offer visa sponsorship for this position.
