About the Role

We're seeking a Senior API Integration Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust APIs that integrate with the Fineos Claims Management system. You will play a key role in enabling seamless data exchange between internal systems and external partners, with a strong focus on NestJS (TypeScript) and Fineos API expertise.

The ideal candidate is hands-on with enterprise-grade API development, deeply familiar with the Fineos data model, and passionate about building scalable, secure, and maintainable integrations in the insurance domain.

About the Project

You will work on a high-impact initiative integrating the Fineos Claims Management system with internal and external systems through scalable APIs.The project focuses on enabling secure, timely, and accurate data exchange, ensuring compliance with PII and enterprise-grade data standards.You will collaborate closely with business analysts, product managers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs, leverage API gateways like APIM or KONG, and implement automated CI/CD pipelines.

This is a hands-on role where your work will directly impact claims processing and data accessibility across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable APIs using NestJS (TypeScript).
  • Lead Fineos Claims API integrations.
  • Work with API gateways such as APIM or KONG for secure and scalable API management.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful services and integrations with third-party APIs.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and product managers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ensure high standards of data security, especially when handling PII.
  • Implement automated QA and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
  • Work within an Agile SDLC and contribute to architectural decisions.

Must-Have Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience in full-stack development with emphasis on API design and implementation.
  • Strong expertise in Fineos Claims API integration and understanding of the Fineos data model.
  • 3+ years of experience in API development using NestJS / TypeScript.
  • Experience with REST API design, API security, and performance optimization.
  • Expertise in automated QA testing and test-driven development methodologies.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Git and GitHub.
  • Familiarity with AWS services, including EC2, Lambda, S3, and Comprehend.
  • Experience with API gateways (APIM, KONG, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of insurance domain workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills with cross-functional teams.
  • In-depth understanding of enterprise-level SDLC processes.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience integrating with other enterprise systems such as SAP, CPAY, FileNet, and CoFax.
  • Exposure to AI technologies, such as GitHub Copilot.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong track record of delivering robust data pipeline solutions for enterprise systems.
  • Experience mentoring or guiding junior engineers is a plus.
