Our client, a mid-sized, stable and well-established corporation, is hiring for an Accountant. You will work on a fast-paced accounting team and be involved in their month end as well as day-to-day accounting, cash management, etc. This is a permanent position that will provide someone early in their career with a broad range of accounting experience. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a salary of $70,000 to $80,000 plus bonus, 401k match and a full benefits package.
Your responsibilities will include:· Month end, year-end accounting close responsibilities
· Bank reconciliations, journal entries, etc.
· Assisting with the financial statement preparation for the company
· Assist with process improvement initiatives
· Serve as a resource for the external audit firm
Your qualifications should include:· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance along with two or more years of experience
· Experience with month end close duties; reconciliations, journal entries, etc.
· Strong Excel skills are necessary for success in this position
· Must be a mature, motivated individual that can take direction and get up to speed quickly
· Prior experience with a G/L system is highly preferred
