About the Role

LHH is partnering with a growing technology and manufacturing organization to identify an experienced Accounting Manager for an in-office position in Addison, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional with Big 4 audit experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Compensation: $120,000-$179,000 base salary + discretionary annual bonus
Location: Addison, TX
Work Arrangement: 100% In Office with flexibility on schedule

The Accounting Manager will play a key role within the Finance organization, with responsibility for accounting policies and processes related to inventory, fixed assets, capital expenditures, revenue recognition, and cost of goods sold. This individual will have significant hands-on ownership of accounting activities across multiple domestic and international entities and will partner closely with cross-functional teams and external auditors.
Key Responsibilities
  • Establish, maintain, and implement accounting policies for inventory, fixed assets, revenue recognition, and related areas across multiple entities.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities for inventory and fixed assets, including journal entries, account reconciliations, quarter-end reviews, and year-end audit support.
  • Oversee accounting for capital expenditures, depreciation, and fixed asset activity from acquisition through disposition.
  • Manage COGS accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and period-end analysis.
  • Own revenue recognition accounting under ASC 606, including evaluating new contracts, arrangements, and business models.
  • Calculate and maintain warranty reserves and related quarterly provisions.
  • Prepare management and audit reporting related to inventory, fixed assets, revenue, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations, flux analysis, and financial statement preparation.
  • Assist with financial reporting for U.S. and international subsidiaries.
  • Perform technical accounting research and prepare accounting analyses and memoranda under U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
  • Develop, document, and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Sales, Legal, Operations, and other cross-functional teams on accounting matters and new business initiatives.
  • Support ERP optimization, automation, and finance transformation initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and strengthen financial controls.
  • Assist with tax-related reporting and compliance activities across applicable jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and other third-party advisors.
  • Participate in special projects and other accounting initiatives as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Active CPA license required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Big 4 public accounting / audit experience required.
  • 6-8+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a technology, manufacturing, or other product-based organization.
  • Strong hands-on experience with inventory accounting and COGS.
  • Significant experience with fixed asset and capital expenditure accounting.
  • Direct experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP; knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
  • Experience working with multiple legal entities, preferably including international entities.
  • Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve accounting processes and leverage technology to automate workflows.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with evolving priorities.
  • Must be willing and able to work onsite in Addison, TX five days per week.
  • Ability to travel internationally approximately 1-2 times per year.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in technology, manufacturing, industrial products, automation, or another asset- and inventory-intensive environment.
  • Experience supporting a rapidly growing or scaling organization.
  • Experience establishing accounting policies across multiple legal entities.
  • Experience with NetSuite and other finance technology platforms.
  • Experience working closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, Legal, and other business functions.

This position is particularly well suited for someone coming from a Big 4 audit background who has transitioned into industry and has developed strong experience with inventory, fixed assets, CapEx, and revenue recognition.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $120,000-$179,000, plus a discretionary annual performance bonus. Actual compensation will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
