About the Role
7-10 years exp, have an understanding of layer 2 (Ethernet) - we are designing services - metro ethernet services - EPL, ELAN, EEVPL & ethernet internet service.Not looking for IT role who has worked in lab environment - looking for commercial grade LAN services.Fiber Optics, DWDM, single & multi-mode fiber and all those industry standards CNS Switches Cisco routers, Nokia & cisco are mainly used.
CNL layer to cisco or nokia routers will be big win Understanding slice point, distance, fiber pads & things like that How to use Visio - to put the design put together.Responsive to their emails, IMs, they should be super responsive.Fiber designing or fiber architecture exp may help.GIS tool exp can be helpful but not required Ethernet Engineer or Network engineer (network on carrier side not LAN side) are closest match for this role.Job Description: Designs new products and makes improvements to existing products.
May evaluate products, parts, or processes for cost efficiency and reliability.Works with other members of the engineering staff to ensure that production is completed in a timely manner.Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 5-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area.Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.Works under immediate supervision.Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
