About the Role
Classroom Teacher General Education
This position requires a Bachelor's degree and valid Oklahoma certification in the subject area taught, meeting Oklahoma State Department of Education and federal standards for a qualified teacher.Skills include reading, analyzing, and interpreting written information; writing required reports and correspondence; presenting information orally; working with mathematical concepts; solving practical problems; interpreting instructions; and adapting to changes in assignments and responsibilities.The teacher will employ instructional techniques to maximize student achievement, participate in collaborative planning and professional development, maintain accurate records, and create a conducive learning environment.
Regular and reliable attendance is required, with at least 95% attendance expected.The position involves primarily inside working conditions with some outdoor exposure and requires physical activities such as sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, talking, hearing, and having close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision.
