About the Role
Folder Gluer Machine Operator
A Folder Gluer Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining folder gluer equipment used in the production of corrugated and paperboard packaging products. This position ensures products are manufactured according to customer specifications while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate folder gluer machines to produce cartons, boxes, and packaging materials.
Read and interpret job tickets, production schedules, and customer specifications.
Adjust machine settings to ensure proper folding, gluing, and product quality.
Monitor machine performance and production output throughout the shift.
Conduct quality checks to verify dimensions, glue application, print quality, and overall product appearance.
Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and communicate major mechanical concerns to maintenance personnel.
Perform machine changeovers and assist with preventative maintenance activities.
Accurately complete production reports and documentation.
Maintain a clean and organized work area following safety and housekeeping standards.
Follow all company safety procedures, quality requirements, and manufacturing policies.
Qualifications:
Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience required.
Experience operating folder gluer, printing, converting, or packaging equipment preferred.
Ability to read measuring devices and interpret production specifications.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Exposure to moving machinery, noise, and industrial equipment.
Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive motions.
Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production demands.
