About the Role
Aircraft Structures/ Mechanical Systems Engineer -CA-1909
We have an immediate contract opening for a Mechanical Systems/ Structures Engineer with our client in CA who is a leading supplier of Aircraft Freighter conversions in CATIA. We are looking for someone with Aircraft Freighter conversions experience who can revise drawings and has knowledge of Catia, sheet metals, mechanical systems, and preferably some experience with structural and composite materials. This is a hybrid position.

Job Description:
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to check engineering drawings for Fit, Form and Function
Strong Computer Aided Drafting/Design skills using CATIA V5.
Three-dimensional (3D) design/drafting skills are preferred.
Knowledge of industry design and documentation standards.
Ensuring that conceptual design is suitable for certification against EASA or FAA regulations and satisfies the contract specification
Experience with mechanical assemblies and manufacturing technique design.
Ability to work independently and cross-functionally as part of an established and growing team.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Strong time-management and organizational skills.
Experience adhering to budget and project schedules.
Ability to work outside of core business hours as required.
Summary of Education, Experience & Certification
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in engineering, minimum of 10 years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience using CATIA V5
Aircraft Freighter conversions, mechanical systems and structures experience.
