Overview
In this role, the candidate will support the functional areas of a highly modified Oracle Federal Financial System.The FinancialManagement Systems Group oversees the design, develop, implementation and operation of various financial and accounting systems.This supports administrative and management of functions encompassing business process reengineering, requirements formulation, as well as various levels of support in development, implementation, test, and post-implementation.As a Senior Financial Systems Specialist interact as needed with the other divisions and support contractors.
The Senior Financial Systems Specialist will help oversee the technical side of the application development efforts with a focus on providing technical expertise to our functional support of the system which has Oracle E-Business Suite as its platform.
What You'll Do
- Support/oversee development activities primarily for system and possibly also for additional systems for business intelligence and budgeting.
- Review technical designs
- Provide best practices, evaluate alternate solutions, and technologies in support of the development, implementation, administration, and monitoring and its supporting systems.
- Work with the Operations & Maintenance Contractor(s) to provide support in overseeing and supporting various projects, tasks and milestones development work.
- Provide development and technical support using technologies such as: Oracle EBS, Oracle Application Framework, Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle Workflows, XML Publisher reports, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Database Tuning, and tools, (i.e., PL/SQL, Java, .NET, HTML and XML);
- Oversee Oracle financials, business intelligence and Hyperion budget formulation and execution applications, through the design, development, documentation, testing, implementation, and support processes
- Assist in the acquisition of new financial management software systems and services, through the evaluation, selection, and implementation phases.
- Author weekly and monthly reports on project status as needed.
- Report to the Program Manager on work status as necessary
- Handle requests for information and data.
- Utilize MS Office applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook in support of technology project management and administrative tasks and activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed that are within scope of the contract.
Must Haves
Bachelor's degree and minimum 10 years of professional experience preferred.
Experience with Program/ Project Management
Experience providing development and technical support using technologies such as: Oracle EBS, Oracle Application Framework, Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle Workflows, XML Publisher reports, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Database Tuning, and tools, (i.e., PL/SQL, Java,.NET, HTML and XML);
Ability to manage the development and implementation of Oracle financial, business intelligence and Hyperion budget formulation and execution applications.
Experience with the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new financial management software systems and services
Excellent verbal and written communications abilities.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Demonstrated ability in multi-tasking project activities.
Self-motivated and able to prioritize work with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Exceptional organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking.
Experience using project management toolsets such as Microsoft Project, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (particularly, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio).
Ability to engage and/or establish cross functional collaboration across multiple teams
