Responsibilities
Produce floor plans, layouts and drawings for GES trade shows and events using AutoCAD Release 2018 software.
Ensures the show/event layout is properly designed and drawn according to specifications outlined by Client Services Manager and Client.
Ensures that all Fire Department codes and regulations are followed on each floor plan.
Ensure all floor plans are not only submitted to Fire Department jurisdictions in a timely manner, but also ensure they are approved before show opening.
Ensure all facilities are kept current and accurate in assigned cities/regions.
Maintains drawings of all convention and meeting room facilities assigned.
Provide timely technical assistance and solutions to the team.
Participate in project meetings and conference calls as required.
Maintain all revisions of project drawings, posting the updated drawing to the required internal drive when completed.
Perform other duties as assigned and deemed necessary of the position
Qualifications
Minimum two years of experience in drafting, using AutoCAD software version 2018 or higher.
Convention and Trade Show experience preferred, but not required; industry specific training will be provided.
Proficient computer skills including Excel and Word.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Work Environment
May require overtime during busy periods
Work performed in an office setting – sitting at a computer
90% Work may involve repetitive motion (i.e. constant keying, using fingers or grasping of objects).
May be required to lift and maneuver 20 lb rolls of paper for the plotters
