Position SummaryOur client is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting functions and ensure the accuracy of financial records. This role will be responsible for reviewing payroll and accounting data, performing bank and account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing timely financial statements. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities- Review payroll records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a recurring basis.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Review and verify accounting transactions, journal entries, and supporting documentation.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activity to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with audits by providing requested financial information and documentation.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
Qualifications- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 1+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Experience reviewing payroll records and supporting payroll processes.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Pay Details: $45,000.00 to $55,000.00 per hour
