Description: The Special Education District of Lake County has an opening for a special education teaching position in the Teaching Appropriate Behaviors (TAB) classroom for the 2026-2027 school year. The TAB program is designed to meet the needs of students' grades K through 8 whose behavioral or emotional needs are to such a marked degree that they adversely affect their educational performance and/or the learning of others. The program is intended to teach appropriate behaviors, teach new academic skills, and reduce inappropriate behavior.
Type of Employment: Full Time, 2026-2027 School Year
Education Required: Bachelor's Degree
Certification Type: Professional Educator License (PEL) - LBSI
Salary: $45,381-$73.381(25-26 rates due to current negotiations of bargaining agreement)
