Description

Need help with relocation? We offer up to $20,000 in sign-on bonus depending on experience and certifications!

The Diesel Technician specializes in the repair and maintenance of diesel-powered vehicles, such as trucks, buses, and heavy equipment that come through the service drive at our dealership.

Responsibilities

Technical Expertise:

  • Diagnose and repair complex diesel engine problems, including fuel systems, emissions systems, and electrical components.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest diesel engine technology and repair techniques.
Customer Service:
  • Communicate with customers about the status of their vehicle repairs.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing high-quality service.
Administrative Tasks:
  • Complete necessary paperwork, including repair orders and work estimates.
  • Manage inventory of parts and supplies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrates a high "HQ" (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.
  • Certifications: Technical certification or diploma in diesel mechanics.
  • Experience: 2+ years experience as an automotive diesel technician.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and components.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair complex diesel engine problems.
  • Ability to use diagnostic equipment and tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
