About the Role
Accounting Advisory Manager / Associate Director
Location: Remote OK (EST time zone) or Hybrid at Charlotte, North Carolina
Experience Required: 10 - 15 Years
Overview
Our client is seeking a senior Accounting Advisory resource (Manager / Associate Director level)to oversee and guide a Construction in Progress (CIP) clean-up initiative. This role is heavily focused on supervision, review, and technical guidance, working alongside a hands-on resource executing the work.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Provide oversight and supervision for CIP clean-up activities
Guide and review work related to fixed assets and capital projects accounting
Support reconciliation and validation of Construction in Progress balances
Ensure alignment with GAAP, audit, and SOX requirements
Partner with internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and data issues
Serve as a point of contact for management, external audit, and internal audit teams
Provide technical input and best practice recommendations
Assist with follow-ups, documentation, and audit-related inquiries post-cleanup
Requirements
Experience at Manager or Associate Director level in Accounting Advisory
Strong background in fixed assets and Construction in Progress (CIP) accounting
Experience supporting audit and SOX environments
Ability to provide oversight, review, and technical direction (not just execution)
Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting controls
Experience working in fast-paced, project-based environments
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
