About the Role

Business Analyst-I

The Space Planning & Analytics (SP&A) Specialist will play a critical cross-functional role partnering with WaaS, Category Management (CatMan), and Local Operations teams to optimize revenue per square foot across DashMart's real estate portfolio. This position focuseson managing database integrity, conducting site and data audits, and overseeing site-level redesign initiatives. As an integral member of a newly formed team, you will not only support existing processes but also contribute to shaping and evolving our strategic approach over time.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implement best practices to optimize site layouts, enhancing storage, put-away, and filling efficiency.
  • Develop new Lucidchart layouts where gaps exist and maintain ongoing updates in collaboration with Local Ops.
  • Support and monitor small-scale tests and pilots (e.g., multi-bin initiatives) to generate actionable insights.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on site redesigns, proactively sharing observations and improvement ideas.
  • Identify and escalate potential capital expenditures to improve site efficiencies and increase revenue/volume productivity.
  • Manage procurement and installation coordination of new storage equipment with Local Operations.
  • Track equipment budgets and assist with investment forecasting; escalate power supply concerns promptly.
  • Coordinate power infrastructure upgrades to enable new equipment deployment, ensuring timely completion.
  • Maintain a catalog of site improvements to inform power capacity and infrastructure planning.
  • Execute multi-week data uploads to capacity dashboards, including equipment and SKU data.
  • Maintain and update revenue/square foot dashboards, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Conduct regular audits of capacity data for accuracy, collaborating with Local Ops to validate and enhance datasets.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for dashboards, data uploads, and analytic tools.

Qualifications include:

  • 1-2 years' experience in a business analyst or related role, preferably with exposure to site operations or space planning.
  • Strong skills in Google Sheets and Excel with advanced problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient project management and clear communication skills to manage cross-functional coordination.
  • Preferred (Nice to Have):
  • Basic SQL experience for data querying and manipulation.
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Lucidchart or similar for layout design.
  • Background in retail or logistics operations.
