Adjunct Faculty, Dual Enrollment
The adjunct faculty position is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in online undergraduate courses that support the institution's mission and strategic goals.Teaching assignments are offered on an as-needed basis, depending on class sizeand semester availability.This role requires active engagement in the virtual classroom, timely communication, and completion of online teaching training modules.Hiring for the following areas: History, English & Literature, Physical Education & Health, Computer Science The University of Northwestern – St.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in assigned online undergraduate courses aligned with the institution's mission and strategic goals.
- Maintain a consistent and active presence in the online classroom, including facilitating course content and engaging with students.
- Monitor and participate in online discussion forums to promote interaction and learning.
- Respond promptly to student inquiries and concerns, fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Grade assignments and provide feedback in a timely manner; complete required online teaching training modules.
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:• Master's degree required with at least 18 graduate-level credits in the discipline applied to teach• Bachelor's degree may meet minimum qualifications for teaching certain technology courses with Master's level equivalent experience• Maintain a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflect His character in all interactions, and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern's mission, Doctrinal Statement and Declaration of Christian CommunityNice to have:• Previous teaching experience with online instruction

- Independent & Teamwork: Capable of working both independently and collaboratively, with minimal supervision.
- Confidentiality: Maintains discretion and handles sensitive information appropriately.
- Organizational Skills: Strong time management and problem-solving abilities; able to prioritize and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
- Technical Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and related software.
- Written & Verbal Communication: Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
- Background Check: Must pass initial and ongoing background checks as a condition of employment.
