The University of Arizona College of Information Science focuses on the intersection of people, data, and technology, offering innovative programs in information science, data science, cybersecurity, game design, and immersive technologies. The Lecturer for LIS/Data Science/Creative Computing will provide instruction in areas of advanced cyber operations and AI-focused cybersecurity.
This career-track appointment is not eligible for tenure.Candidates working anywhere in the U.S. may be considered for a remote assignment.If you are selected for this position and are employed to work remotely from outside of Arizona, your overtime exemption status will depend on the laws of the state where you perform your work.For employees working outside of Arizona, you may be hired as an hourly employee in accordance with state laws, and your position title would be "Part-Time Faculty" instead of "Lecturer" in accordance with university practices.

Duties & Responsibilities: Instruct students in field of expertise. Plan course delivery, align content with other courses as needed, and provide feedback on student work. Advise students, hold office hours, and provide student support. Assist with Capstone projects or individual student projects as needed, engaging in project-based pedagogy when possible.
Minimum Qualifications: Terminal degree in Information Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, Library Science, media Ecology, Gam Media, Gaming Behavior, Game Design and Production, Game Development, or other related field.
Preferred Qualifications: Content expertise that aligns with enrollment needs.
