Qualifications

Valid Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate.
Endorsements in Integrated Science (DI) and/or Science (DX) required.
Endorsements in Mathematics (EX) and/or STEM/STEAM preferred.
Responsibilities
Implement standards-aligned science curriculum.
Design and deliver engaging, student-centered instruction.
Customize courses (content, assignments, pacing) to support trimester scheduling.
Incorporate real-world application into learning experiences.
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
Develop and implement targeted interventions; monitor student progress.
Serve as a mentor/advocate for virtual learners across programs.
Provide academic support and encouragement in both virtual and in-person settings.
Assess student learning using formative and summative methods (virtual and in-person).
Analyze assessment and participation data to inform instruction.
Provide timely, meaningful feedback on student work.
Communicate regularly with students, families, and staff.
Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and support teams to improve student outcomes.
Partner with counselors to support students.
Participate in school and district teams, committees, and professional learning.
Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and communication logs.
Support and facilitate in-person lab sessions, including alternative education learners.
Proctor standardized assessments.
Foster a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.
Demonstrate strong organization, attention to detail, and technology skills.
