Your Missions

Under the authority of the director of water and sanitation, the agent is in charge of the help to the definition and implementation of the "Water" policy choices:

  • Protection and management of the water resource.
  • Public services of drinking water and raw water.
  • Public service of external fire defense.
  • Management of Aquatic Environments and Flood Prevention (GeMAPI).

In this context, the agent is in charge of ensuring the financial management (treasury, prospective) of the credits under his responsibility and of supervising the service agents.

Main Activities

At the heart of environmental and territorial issues, you pilot the strategy and services related to water, protection of resources and prevention of risks. You actively contribute to an essential public service, at the service of inhabitants and the territory.

Piloting the Policy of Drinking Water, Raw Water and DECI
  • Follow and pilot the strategic and operational studies (master plan, PGSSE, diagnostics…) in connection with the technical teams (engineering services and heritage follow-up)
  • Contribute to the strategic piloting of the service (evolutions, regulations…)
  • Ensure the follow-up and control of public services of drinking water, raw water and External Fire Defense
  • Manage the requests and user complaints water and tax reliefs (technical and administrative)
  • Participate in the programming of studies and works in connection with urban planning and planning documents
  • Develop and maintain institutional partnerships (syndicates, communities, water actors)
Protection of Water Resources & Surveillance of Dams
  • Coordinate the management of water resources and water bodies
  • Pilot the protection perimeters of the captures and the associated action plans
  • Ensure the regulatory surveillance of dams and the safety of populations
  • Contribute to the environmental and agricultural policies related to the water resource
Management & Piloting of the Service
  • Supervise, animate and federate a team
  • Organize and follow the activity of the service
  • Develop the skills of agents (training, support)
  • Participate in recruitments and professional interviews
  • Manage sensitive or conflictual situations
  • Elaborate and follow the budget of the service in connection with the direction
Vigilance & Expertise
  • Ensure a legal and regulatory vigilance in the field of water
  • Advise the direction and elected officials on the evolutions and issues of the sector
Complementary Activities
  • Infractions statement (subject to oath)
  • Occasional support to construction sites or engineering service
  • Possibility to intervene in replacement or reinforcement of management functions
Your Profile
Education
  • BAC +3 with significant experience or BAC +5
Knowledge and Skills
  • Solid skills in:
    • Functioning of water networks
    • Safety of hydraulic structures
    • Protection of the resource
    • Fire defense (technical and regulatory aspects)
  • Good mastery of:
    • The functioning of territorial communities
    • The rules of public management (public procurement, accounting…)
    • Management of services (water, sanitation…)
  • Mastery of office tools and excellent writing skills
  • Experience in team animation and supervision
Know-How
  • Rigor and sense of discretion
  • Availability and sense of public service
  • Ability to adapt and strength of proposal
  • Ability to report and alert and organize work
  • Asserted managerial skills (organization, animation)
