About the Role

LHH is partnering with a growing and dynamic organization in the Tampa area to identify an experienced Corporate Counsel to join its in-house legal team on a contract/temporary basis. This role offers the opportunity to act as a trusted business partner, providing strategic legal guidance across a broad range of corporate, commercial, and operational matters.
Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide variety of commercial agreements, including vendor, service, customer, and confidentiality agreements
  • Advise business leaders on legal and regulatory matters impacting company operations
  • Support corporate governance activities, including entity management and maintenance of corporate records
  • Provide guidance on contract interpretation, enforcement, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Assist with mergers, acquisitions, financings, and other strategic transactions
  • Partner with internal stakeholders on compliance initiatives and policy development
  • Manage outside counsel and coordinate litigation strategy when needed
  • Advise on employment-related matters and other day-to-day legal issues
Qualifications
  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • 4+ years of experience in corporate law, in-house or at a law firm
  • Demonstrated experience in several of the following areas:
    • Commercial contract drafting, negotiation, and management
    • Corporate governance and entity management
    • Mergers & acquisitions and corporate finance transactions
    • Regulatory compliance and risk management
    • Employment law and general corporate counseling
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
