We are seeking a skilled and experienced AEC Proposal Graphic Designer to join our client's remote team as a contractor, starting immediately to support our client's workload ramp-up. This is a project-based role with a strong potential for ongoing engagement based on performance and alignment.
We are looking for a talented AEC Proposal Graphic Designer to support our client's proposal responses and marketing materials for large civil engineering and construction companies. The ideal candidate will have immediate availability, flexibility to scale with workflow demands, and a strong portfolio showcasing AEC proposal or compliance-driven work.
The right candidate must be able to maintain consistency in headings, formatting, and document organization, and ideally be comfortable with both layout assignments and technical graphics support. We are looking for someone who can execute accurately without unintentionally creating rework. This is a fast-paced, deadline-driven, time-sensitive proposal environment. Effective communication is critical, we need a candidate who can communicate clearly, stay aligned, and help support forward movement during active pursuit periods.
Minimum of 5 years of design experience developing proposal-oriented graphics, including infographics for an engineering or construction firm using Adobe Creative Suite
Ability to complete tasks within tight time schedules and under strict layout controls
Ability to use tact and diplomacy when interacting with others
Excellent time management, planning and problem-solving skills
Advanced knowledge of graphic design and typography principles and applying them to solve marketing and business challenges through visual storytelling in long-form documents
Advanced knowledge of current graphics design (and related) software applications (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and presentation software
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and PowerPoint
3D rendering skills, video editing and interactive document experience are a plus
This role requires real AEC proposal experience — including Word + InDesign and comfort working in compliance-driven, long-form proposal documents. General branding or social-only designers will not be considered.
