Position Summary:

Provide fast and accurate processing of orders, inquiries and return authorizations in a customer service environment in the manufacturing sector.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review, process and follow up on orders and inquiries by telephone, fax, internet, Sage 300 and correspondence from customers and Commercial Sales.
  • Maintain established performance metrics for order accuracy, volume of entries, phone volume and error rate.
  • Responsible for timely customer communications including but not limited to pricing information, order confirmation and shipping status.
  • Proactively review open order reports and information, providing documentation as requested to customers, manufacturing plants or sales.
  • Process and monitor Return Authorizations, obtain required approvals for changes to customer-specific information and special accommodations.
  • Own, manage, maintain and update customer data and files.
  • Other job responsibilities and requirements that may be assigned.

What We Look For:

  • HS Diploma or GED required. College degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years customer service experience.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook; JD Edwards experience desired.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a flexible environment with minimum supervision.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and follow up skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be a team player and work well within a team environment

In accordance with applicable pay transparency requirements, the expected salary range for this position is between $35,000 and $50,500. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. This position also qualifies for sales incentive compensation, which is calculated from sales generated from new and existing customers and subject to change at the discretion of Quaker Houghton.
