About the Role
This remote opportunity allows you to live where you currently reside and travel to established food and pharmaceutical clients primarily in the SE, NE, and Midwest with a few trips outside of the US.You will be developing engineering solutions to prevent dust explosions at your clients' facilities.The bonus potential is large and dependent on the company's profitability splitting 1/3 of its profits with their employees.This fast-growing 50-person engineering firm supports chemical and food plants in fire prevention as well.
You'll be a part of a 4-person team of engineers with technical support from other in-house engineers.You'll be evaluating client's needs, developing initial engineering solutions, reviewing client's P&ID's and final equipment selection, and performing dust hazard reviews.This opportunity can be for a process, production, or project engineer.You'll have the chance to further develop your skillset and become an expert in a specific demanding niche in this industry.The travel is mostly overnight and estimated at 30%.You will be reporting to the Project Manager.Minimum Requirements:
B.S. in Chemical Engineering
3+ years' experience of Dust Hazard Analysis (DHA's) or closely related out of foods or chemicals
Need to have a sense of urgency and a high degree of attention to detail
Experience with industrial process safety, engineering consulting, process hazard analysis, risk assessments, ability to understand P&IDs, and knowledge of NFPA is plus
