About the Role

Marketing/Graphics Specialist

BSNC Government Services is a wholly owned holding company of Bering Straits Native Corporation, established to oversee and support BSNC's subsidiaries that provide a broad range of services to federal, state, and local government clients. These subsidiariesspecialize in areas such as facilities management, security, logistics, construction, environmental services, technology, and professional support. By aligning these operations under a single umbrella, BSNC Government Services ensures strategic coordination, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across its government contracting portfolio, advancing BSNC's mission to create sustainable value for its shareholders.

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Works with Proposals Director and Business Development Team to create marketing materials that depict BSNC's diverse capabilities and contracting options as well as for targeted agency purposes.
  • Reviews solicitation documentation and participates in development of proposals by conceptualizing purposeful graphics.
  • Develops graphics for proposals, to include charts and covers.
  • Develops promotional materials for the company's many GSA Schedules/Vehicles.
  • Produces trade show graphics, advertisements, fact sheets, press release graphics, and other promotional materials.
  • Develops responses to Sources Soughts and Requests for Information.
  • Participates in proposal reviews to ensure the quality and accuracy of all submissions.
  • Works with other proposal staff as a team, assisting in a supporting role on projects assigned to others when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications

  • Education Requirements: BA/BS in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or related field.
  • Level of Experience Requirements: At least 5 years of experience supporting proposal efforts in a large-proposal Government contracting environment as a Marketing/Graphics Specialist.
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices associated with proposal development in a Government contracting environment.
  • Graphic design expertise.
  • Technical writing ability a plus.
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills as well as excellent oral, written communication, and time management skills.
  • Must be analytical with attention to detail, task-oriented, self-motivated and have the inherent ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines and work as a team member.
  • Must be proficient with Desktop Publishing/graphics programs and MS Office Suite Programs: Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Visio; and have a working knowledge of Excel and Project.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Demonstrates exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with Business Development Team Members and Senior Management.
  • Ability to review or check the work products of others to ensure conformance to standards.

This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.

This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation "safety-sensitive" functions.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Employees must always maintain a constant state of mental alertness. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Must be able to work in an office setting, sit for long periods of time, talk on the telephone, work on a computer for extended periods of time, and lift and carry up to 25 pounds on a periodic basis. Must possess: visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone; and the manual dexterity to operate a cell phone, telephone and keyboard.

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system.

Work is performed remotely in a standard office environment (home office or equivalent).

This is a full-time, exempt position based on a 40-hour work week, typically performed during standard business hours, Monday through Friday. As this role supports time-sensitive Business Development and proposal activities, work hours in excess of 40 per week may be required to meet critical deadlines, support peak proposal periods, and fulfill department and organizational requirements. Some flexibility in schedule may be necessary to collaborate across time zones and to accommodate high-priority or expedited efforts.

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required and must also be able to obtain access to military installations.
