Description: The Workday Security Engineer will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of security measures. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Workday applications and data. The WD Security Engineer will act as a subject matter expert in Workday security, providing strategic guidance and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Security Implementation: Assist in the design, implementation, and management of security controls for the Workday environment. Ensure security configurations and integrations are robust and effective.
Risk Assessment: Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and risks within the Workday environment. Collaborate with the risk management team to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
Access Management: Implement and manage role-based access controls (RBAC) to ensure appropriate access levels for users. Regularly review and update access permissions to maintain compliance and security.
Incident Response: Assist in the investigation and response to security incidents related to the Workday environment. Participate in root cause analysis and remediation efforts.
Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry best practices. Contribute to the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Collaboration: Work closely with IT, HR, Finance and other business units to understand security requirements and integrate security measures into business processes. Provide technical support and guidance to stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices. Proactively suggest improvements to enhance the security posture of the Workday environment.
