The Position:
As a Business Development Manager Water Treatment (m/w/d) you actively shape the expansion and strategic development of our business in the field of water treatment in the DACH region.Your focus is on solutions for industrial and municipal wastewater treatment (Waste Water Treatment).You recognize market opportunities early, explore new application fields, and develop concrete projects and sustainable growth from them.At the same time, you provide our customers with technically sound advice and accompany them from the first idea to implementation.
In close coordination with sales, product management, and our suppliers, you strengthen our market position and make a decisive contribution to successful business development.
Your Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Business development and sales in the water treatment sector for the DACH region
- Development of a consulting-intensive and strategically relevant product segment through identification, acquisition, and establishment of new customers in the area of wastewater treatment (wastewater treatment plants, industrial wastewater treatment, etc.)
- Creation and submission of offers including price responsibility, negotiation of supply contracts, and support of tender processes (especially in the municipal sector)
- Personal and telephone support of own existing and project customers (key accounts) as well as support of customers in process optimization on site (industrial trials)
- Building and maintaining relationships with key accounts, wastewater treatment plants, technical managers, and engineering firms
- Exploration of promising potentials in new and existing applications and marketing of our specialty chemicals (flocculants, coagulants, defoamers, etc.)
- Observation and analysis of market trends and competitive activities to adapt the sales strategy
- Responsibility for budget and requirement planning
What You Bring With You:
- Completed studies in chemistry, environmental engineering, or process engineering or a comparable qualification
- At least 5 years of professional experience in sales in the field of water chemistry, ideally know-how in industrial wastewater treatment
- Existing network in the relevant industry in the DACH region and/or in the area of municipal wastewater treatment plants
- Secure handling of technical applications and trials with customers and confident appearance in technical consultation talks and negotiations
- Very good communication and presentation skills as well as persuasiveness
- "Hunter" mentality with the will to achieve and exceed goals
- High commitment and initiative, independent and structured working method as well as solution orientation
- Affinity for active support of digitalization processes
- Very good German and English skills in speech and writing
- High willingness to travel within the DACH region
