This individual will own and grow Sweet Nothings' presence across regional chains and independent retailers, working closely with distributors (UNFI, KeHE) and managing broker relationships.This is not a pure account management role.We are looking for someone who can both win new business and scale it, while operating effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with limited infrastructure.Responsibilities:
- Drive new distribution and account growth across regional chains and independent retailers nationwide.
- Lead broker management -motivating, directing, and holding brokers accountable to drive meetings, placements, and performance in relevant retailers.
- Manage Sweet Nothings Retail distributor relationships (Kehe, UNFI, DOT, etc) including yearly planning, forecasting, etc.
- Analyze and report on sales and distribution performance at retail and wholesale partners (e.g., UNFI, KeHE), identifying growth opportunities and performance gaps.
- Customer Meeting Support - minimum quarterly meetings with key buyers, deepen retailer relationships, building partnership trust.
- Meet customer-specific goals for new product launches, assortment planning, pricing, and merchandising execution.
- Partner with the Executive Leadership Team to develop and execute long-term, thought-leading strategies.
- Direct and deliver key financial metrics versus plan within aligned trade spend plan.
- Account Plan management, contributing to both current year and long-range plan forecasts.

Qualifications: - 7+ years of progressive CPG sales experience.
- Previous experience working with or at key retailers is preferred: Wegmans, Natural Grocers, The Fresh Market, INFRA, NCG, Fresh Thyme, HEB, etc.
- Can-do attitude and willingness to wear many hats. We're a small team that thrives off learning and executing quickly, no task is too big or too small for the ideal candidate.
- Proven success in opening new accounts, expanding distribution, and turning white space into meaningful revenue (not just maintaining existing business).
- Detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong business acumen-ability to balance sales growth with trade spend and profitability.
- Must be an analytical thinker and data-driven; strong data analysis skills and use data to inform your approach and tell compelling selling stories.
- Experience working with IRI/Nielsen, Retail POS data, Excel/Google Sheets, etc.. Experience with SPINS, retailer portals, Confido, and BI tools and distributor reporting systems highly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, networking and relationship building skills. Able to easily start conversations with anyone and create a positive association with the brand.
- Proven ability to craft and deliver data-driven presentations.
- Willingness and ability to travel for trade shows, sales calls, and meetings- approximately 25% of the time.
