About the Role
Embedded Systems & FpgA Engineer
This is a remote position. We are looking for a highly skilled Embedded Systems & FPGA Engineer to join an R&D team working in Ground Penetrating Radar systems and advanced assisted and automated data mapping solutions. In this role, you will design and implement cutting-edge solutions for high-performance signal acquisition and processing. You will work on FPGA development, embedded Linux systems, and real-time data processing for advanced sensor technologies. Work can be done remotely, with sporadic travels to Oslo.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and verify FPGA logic for high-performance signal acquisition and processing.
Design and develop software for embedded Linux systems.
Perform FPGA/CPU system integration, driver development, and bare-metal programming.
Deploy operating systems on embedded devices.
Develop software/firmware for real-time processing of high-rate sensor data.
Design, implement, and optimize the embedded server backend for control, monitoring, and data acquisition.
Qualifications & Requirements
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in FPGA design and development using Xilinx SoC platforms.
Proficiency in C/C++ and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
Strong understanding of high-speed ADC/DAC interfaces, digital signal processing, and hardware/software co-design.
Hands-on experience with system bring-up, debugging, and profiling of embedded systems.
Knowledge of RF systems, signal processing, or software-defined radio (SDR) architectures.
Nice-to-have: Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS). Experience with high-performance data acquisition systems.
