Position Summary
The Director of Accounting provides strategic and operational leadership for the accounting function within a complex, multi-entity healthcare organization. This role oversees financial reporting, month-end close, technical accounting, internal controls, audits, and compliance with U.S. GAAP. The Director partners closely with senior leadership to drive process improvements, support growth initiatives, and deliver accurate financial insights.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the accounting team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and financial statement preparation.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, including technical accounting matters and revenue recognition (ASC 606).
• Manage multi-entity consolidations, account reconciliations, and financial reporting accuracy.
• Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and audit readiness.
• Lead external audits and support tax and regulatory compliance activities.
• Drive system enhancements, process automation, and accounting integrations.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Payroll, Legal, and executive leadership on strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and financial decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong expertise in financial reporting, month-end close, consolidations, technical accounting, and U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with healthcare accounting, physician compensation models, and revenue recognition (ASC 606).
• Background in multi-entity organizations; private equity-backed experience preferred.
• Proven experience managing audits, internal controls, and accounting teams.
• CPA highly preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP and financial reporting systems; NetSuite and FloQast experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Pay Details: $140,000.00 to $170,000.00 per year
