The ideal candidate brings strong content knowledge, collaborates well with colleagues, and demonstrates a genuine enthusiasm for guiding young adolescents as they grow academically, socially, and spiritually.
Position Description
Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in math for students in grades 6-8
Collaborate with grade-level and content-area teams to promote student learning, positive behavior, and overall well-being
Communicate proactively and professionally with families; maintain accurate and timely gradebook records
Participate in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and team meetings
Contribute to a positive, mission-driven culture
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Maine educator certification required or anticipated by the start date
Eligible for Maine certification in at least one of the following:
Mathematics (300) under Middle Level Teacher (5-8) or Secondary Teacher (6-12)
Elementary Teacher (020) K-8 endorsement (credential held prior to Chapter 115 revisions)
Experience working with middle school students preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
Commitment to the school's mission and values, and the formation of the whole child
