What is an EOD Technician?

EOD Technicians are highly trainedin explosives, robotics, diving, and tactical operations. Their mission is to identify, disarm, and dispose of explosive threats on land, underwater, and in the air.

Key Responsibilities

As a Navy EOD Technician, you will:

  • Neutralize explosives, including chemical, biological, and nuclear threats.
  • Conduct underwater mine clearance operations.
  • Support Navy SEALs, Army Special Forces, and other elite units.
  • Provide counterterrorism and homeland security expertise.
  • Perform parachute and diving operations to reach remote areas.

Training

The Navy provides world-class training in:

  • Bomb disposal and robotics.
  • Underwater demolition and diving operations.
  • Parachute insertion and tactical operations.
  • Hazardous materials and chemical threat response.
