About the Role

Job Title: Service Designer

Responsibility Summary/Job Description
• Conduct and lead research analysis to extract service data and behavioral patterns to create meaningful insights, design principles, and design opportunities
• Identify, consult, and lead stakeholders through service design workshops using facilitation tools
• Independently scope Service Design activities and deliverables as part of a multi-disciplinary design team to determine appropriate altitude, methodology, detailed tasks, and resources needed
• Create high-fidelity service prototypes including a variety of maps (stakeholder, ecosystem, blueprint, journey)
• Apply strong business and financial services acumen to design work (through application of human-centered frameworks, prototypes, workshop facilitation, concepting)
• Demonstrate strategic maturity to make decisions within work and connect processes, actions, or activities across areas of the business.
• Work closely with researchers, visual and user experience designers contributing to the improvement of the design quality and final user experience.
• Effectively communicate verbally and through visual presentations to senior level leaders to present strategic opportunities, align to firm strategy/goals/objectives, define business cases, and develop strategic roadmaps that clearly articulate the journey toward an ideal client experience.

Qualifications

6+ years of progressive design experience

Skills

Adobe Creative Suite, visual storytelling, process design, system thinking, and service blueprinting.

Education

Bachelor's degree in the field of Design, HCI, or Engineering or equivalent discipline

Top 3 Things

1) System-wide thinking skills (home office, financial advisors, clients, etc.)

2) Ability to map and create visual service blueprints

3) Ability to build relationships and connections with people and talk to them to understand how to build the systems to meet their needs.

Additional Information
• This position will focus on strategic, conceptual design. Unlike UX design this work will be less structured and more conceptual. This individual will need high learning agility, a willingness to meet the needs of a strategic and conceptual space. Successful candidates will be comfortable in an environment where there won't be step-by-step instructions and structure. This role requires someone who can figure things out. This is not a graphic/production design role. This is a strategic design role that requires strategic thinking.
• Portfolios should be submitted at the time the worker is submitted. Workers without portfolios will not be considered. The leader is unable to open Google links due to client's security protocols.
