About the Role

VP of Product

Remote- East Coast hours

This role will be a key member of a deeply engaged senior leadership team and must therefore be prepared to lead opinionated and informed stakeholders through critical decisions and will be responsible for defining a product platform which brings together a collection of focused, sophisticated, data-heavy software applications backed by e-Commerce experts.

We are seeking an individual who deeply understands what it takes to craft a great product management organization in the areas of product leadership, people management, and product performance & execution. This person must have sharp insight, proven leadership skills and a credible track record to attract talented top performers.

This role is perfect for an individual who takes a portfolio-oriented view of product strategy, has an ownership mentality for driving impact, pursues data-informed insights, focuses on customer empathy and product craft, and loves to learn and execute.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of a compelling, clearly articulated product strategy and roadmap that synthesizes customer needs, market dynamics, and business requirements.
  • Balance short- and long-term goals and investments, in partnership with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and business success.
  • Develop expertise in the various components and policy requirements that drive Yardline's mission.
  • Engage key stakeholders by working closely with cross-functional leaders across all strategic and product areas to gain buy-in, forge partnerships, and build enthusiasm for the product vision.
  • Communicate effectively up, down, and laterally to ensure alignment of work.
  • Lead product prioritization processes across the organization ensuring we deliver products that solve the biggest customer problem and deliver strong market position.
  • Understand competitors, their offerings and how Yardline's offerings compare.
  • Develop and lead a disciplined, consistent, and repeatable product development process, which drives product insights, roadmap prioritization, and resource allocation.
  • Bring multiple product groups together and create a strong, cohesive, and collaborative product organization united in one vision.
  • Build alignment and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure a great end-to-end customer experience and effective customer-facing launches.
  • Define metrics that measure the success of products and use these metrics to drive business outcomes.
  • Identify, define, and track Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for each product line.
  • Create a culture of data-informed decision making.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience, including the full scope of software product management leading or directing large scale, SaaS products.
  • 3+ years leading a product organization, including direct people management.
  • Strong understanding of all facets of bringing a product to market, including market analysis, product-market fit, positioning strategy, MVP's, go-to-market strategy, pricing, rapid iteration based on feedback.
  • Experience with infrastructure technology/services and launching infrastructure and/or platform products.
  • Experience in any of the following platforms a plus, but not required: fintech, e-Commerce, marketing tech, or supply chain.
  • Proven track record of attracting and growing top talent and building high performing teams.
  • Obsession with creating great customer experiences
