Key Responsibilities:
Business-critical team member in a fast-paced, high-volume, and dynamic fulfillment environment. Responsible for strategic oversight, process execution, and timely handoff of route output solutions
Must possess the ability to make critical business decisions related to identifying opportunities, resources, and prioritizing route optimization projects for a 1.1 billion dollar supply chain organization
Conduct ongoing engineering and optimization of all market center service routes to improve efficiency and labor trends. This role will provide baseline performance data as well as projected outcome statistics
Responsible for involving and directing critical team members in the system data cleanup to ensure accurate engineered route output
Assists with the generation and publishing of delivery metrics as needed, including baseline and projected productivity metrics for handoff to the execution team for post-project implementation
Responsible for being the recognized company expert on route engineering software as well as statistical route data
Develop Route Engineering process guidance documentation (Standard Operating Procedures) and project timeline expectations for all ongoing and future projects
Collaborate with key area departments and Market Centers on ongoing route maintenance opportunities based on business changes related to growth/new business prospects
This role is part of a broader strategic imperative to achieve operating efficiencies while improving customer service and delivery performance. As such, the Route Design Engineer will report and work directly with the Director, Route Solutions.
STATUS AND SCOPE

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
4+ years' progressive experience in complex supply chain and logistics operations.
Extensive knowledge of route optimization or the proficiency and aptitude to learn route modeling principles and techniques
Proven operational and technical expertise
Excellent analytic and data skills in developing actionable KPIs and metrics around service and cost
Analytical approach to problem solving and a passion for delivering service excellence to our customers
Extreme proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Benefits: Vestis offers a wide array of comprehensive benefit programs and services including medical, dental, vision, short and long term disability, basic life insurance, and paid parental leave. Employees are able to enroll in the company's 401k plan. Employees are eligible for 80 hours of vacation, 16 hours of floating holidays, and paid sick time every year. Employees will also receive 9 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
Compensation: The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $115,000, depending on circumstances, including an applicant's skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors.
