Our client, a global financial services firm, is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join their team in New York, NY!
The Senior Cloud Engineer will help lead the solution architecture, engineering, and operations for the Azure and Microsoft M365 platforms while incorporating DevOps practices to ensure maximum utilization and productivity are extracted while maintaining security and compliance requirements. This role will work closely with the core infrastructure team.
Responsibilities: Cloud Engineering
Help lead the design, implementation, and delivery of Microsoft Azure IaaS, PaaS and SaaS including Compute, Networking, Security, IAM, Backup, Monitoring, and Data/BI.
Help lead the design, implementation, and delivery of the Microsoft 365 platform, with a focus on Messaging (Exchange Online), Communications (Teams), Collaboration (SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business), Security (Azure MFA, AIP, ARM, ATP, M365 Security Center), Endpoint (Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Intune, W365), Microsoft 365 Apps (Power Automate), Compliance (PAM, AME, Compliance Center), Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, and Azure Storage.
Support virtualization technologies like VMware in hybrid environment.
Design, develop, create, and manage a best practice operating model across the platform in hybrid environments.
Implement and manage Microsoft Purview for data governance, compliance, and data catalog capabilities across the organization.
Help oversee Microsoft Copilot administration across the platform.
Maintain a highly secure system through proper security configuration to ensure security & regulatory compliance requirements are met.
Work closely with the network and security team to ensure integrated and secure infrastructure solutions.
Ensure the highest possible system and service availability through an intelligent responsive redundant design and services.
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) resource for Microsoft 365, Azure, and emerging AI technologies.
Dev/DevOps and Automation
Help design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery and infrastructure deployment.
Utilize Python, PowerShell, and other scripting languages to automate deployment, monitoring, and management processes.
Work with Bicep and/or Terraform on Azure for infrastructure as code implementations.
Manage system integrations and API connectivity across platforms and services.
Build custom agents and automation solutions using Copilot Studio to enhance productivity across the platform.
Support Azure AI Foundry for AI model development and deployment.
Monitor system performance and reliability, implementing optimizations and troubleshooting as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
10+ years of experience in Infrastructure engineering with 5+ years specifically in Azure and Microsoft 365 platforms and 3+ years of Dev/DevOps experience.
Hands-on experience with AI platforms and technologies.
Understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with related tools.
Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, and scripting for automation tasks with experience working with Bicep and/or Terraform on Azure.
Knowledge of Web services environments, languages, and formats including RESTful APIs, HTML, JavaScript, XML, KML, SOAP, and JSON.
Knowledge of SQL for data querying and manipulation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with any of the following: Varonis, CoreView, Wiz, Manage Engine (OpManager, Endpoint Central), Nasuni, Rubrik, Amazon Web Services.
Data analytics experience: Databricks, Azure Fabric, Power BI, or data warehousing technologies.
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools.
