Description

Job Title: Retail Store Supervisor Location: The Sea Pines Resort – Starboard Shop & Lighthouse Kids

Position Summary: The Retail Store Supervisor supports daily operations, sales performance, and team leadership for the Starboard Shop and Lighthouse Kids locations at The Sea Pines Resort. This role ensures exceptional guest service, drives sales, maintains brand standards, and leads a high-performing team in a fast-paced resort environment. The Supervisor serves as a leader on the sales floor and acts as Manager on Duty when needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Development

  • Supervise, coach, and motivate retail associates
  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional guest service
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
  • Provide ongoing feedback and performance coaching
  • Serve as Manager on Duty in absence of Store Manager or Assistant Manager

Sales and Guest Experience

  • Deliver a welcoming and engaging shopping experience for all guests
  • Drive sales through product knowledge, upselling, and cross-selling
  • Build relationships with guests and provide personalized service
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and timely
  • Ensure consistent execution of brand and service standards

Operations and Merchandising

  • Support opening and closing procedures
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards in both store locations
  • Assist with inventory processes including receiving, stocking, and counts
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needs
  • Maintain store cleanliness and organization
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and loss prevention practices

Financial and Performance Support

  • Support achievement of sales goals and key performance indicators
  • Assist in monitoring store performance and identifying opportunities
  • Ensure accuracy in POS transactions and cash handling
  • Help minimize inventory shrink through proper procedures

Qualifications:

Required

  • Minimum 2 years of retail experience
  • At least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic proficiency with POS systems and computers

Preferred

  • Experience in resort or specialty retail
  • Experience with children's apparel or lifestyle brands
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
