Successful candidate will support field investigations that could potentially require the following: Performing strenuous fieldwork under a variety of site and adverse weather conditions; remaining stationary, traversing and moving about to facilitate operation of the equipment and collecting samples; moving earth via shovels or hand augers; lifting of pumps, other remediation equipment, cases containing equipment, sample coolers and other items weighing between 1 and 50 pounds; and potential exposure to natural (e.g., poison ivy), physical and chemical hazards.Ability to perform and maintain rigorous detailed documentation of field activities.
Field work often involves extended hours on site.Candidate must be able and available to travel via land and/or air and possess a valid drivers' license in good standing.

A reasonable level of out-of-office travel based on project responsibilities, requirements, and client needs may be required. Position requires the ability to work under pressure or deadlines and to work overtime, as needed. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
This position requires the individual to drive either a rental car or his/her own car while performing their job from time to time. Employee must be able to perform the physical functions of operating a motor vehicle. Employee must be able to prove that he/she has a current, valid driver's license with no restrictions. Travel via air is also required.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical documents and procedures, and government regulations. Ability to write detailed reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information, communicate, and respond to questions from groups of coworkers, clients, customers, and the general public. Candidates should be fluent in the English language and possess excellent verbal/written communication skills. Candidates must be able to professionally interact with clients, subcontractors, professionals, and the public.
Applicants should possess the ability to perform mathematical calculations relevant to the job.
Candidate must have the ability to work well in a professional and team-oriented environment, as well as independently. Candidates must possess ability to resolve conflicts and provide solutions in a professional manner.
