Nesco Resource is looking to hire an R&D Chemist to work in our Lynchburg, VA plant.You will work in a laboratory setting to conduct research on new or existing product formulas with minimal supervision.Typical projects will include new product development, modification of existing products, raw material evaluations, benchmarking studies, sample preparations, color matching, batch process review, and specification testing.
The R&D Chemist is expected to design and document all projects and to be familiar with all appropriate product performance application methods, performance testing methods, QC test procedures, and factory processes.This role has responsibility for the scale-up of batches and collaboration with QC as needed.
The scope of products supported by this position can range from solvent-based contact adhesives and water-based adhesives (both brush-applied and spray-applied to a variety of substrates), hot melts, and other solvated rubber technologies.
