Senior Systems Analyst – Hexagon SmartPlant Materials
Employment Type: Contract Work Location: Remote (Candidates must be located within the United States)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Analyst – Hexagon SmartPlant Materials to lead the development, enhancement, and support of SmartPlant Materials solutions and related interfaces. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Hexagon SmartPlant Materials, JavaScript, and PL/SQL, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
Lead the analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of SmartPlant Materials solutions and integrations.
Collaborate with Change and Release Management teams to support successful solution delivery throughout the release lifecycle.
Participate in solution design discussions and code reviews to ensure quality, scalability, and maintainability.
Apply Agile methodologies and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to design and implement new capabilities and enhancements.
Identify opportunities to improve service quality, reliability, efficiency, and overall system performance.
Support production environments by troubleshooting incidents, resolving issues, and maintaining service levels.
Participate in rotational on-call support as required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of experience configuring and supporting Hexagon SmartPlant Materials solutions.
5+ years of experience in custom software development across the full software development lifecycle.
Strong hands-on experience with PL/SQL and JavaScript.
Proven analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Experience designing and supporting enterprise integrations and interfaces.
Knowledge of release management and production support processes.
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform computer-based work for extended periods using a keyboard, mouse, and monitor.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders via phone, video conferencing, and in-person meetings as needed.
Ability to perform sedentary work with occasional movement to attend meetings and collaborate with team members.
