About the Role
This opportunity is with a high-purity specialty chemical manufacturer located near Dallas, TX.This is an on-site role at a 50-person, 24/7 operational plant that is not PSM regulated but it follows similar guidelines & regulations.This facility has had zero recordables in over 2 years and is determined to continue its safety initiatives by bringing you on board.You'll be responsible for improving safety procedures & processes, training employees, enhancing confined spaces/entries, ensuring compliance with EHS regulations, and assisting production teams with projects.
You'll be supervising 1 plant employee that helps with following compliance, while gaining assistance from 1 corporate environmental associate, all collaborating with Plant Manager and other EHS Managers.Minimum Requirements:
B.S. in Chemistry, Safety, or Engineering, will consider closely related
4+ years experience in an environmental safety & health role
chemicals, brewery, or similar background working with distillation columns
Experience with lockout & tag out procedures is ideal
Management of hazardous wastes & wastewater treatment preferred
