Company plant located in Randleman NC is seeking a productive, bold, determined individual able to provide the highest level of technical direction/leadership related to manufacturing processes. The right candidate will be able to plan, develop and implement plant information systems and information architecture, including the development and implementation of new functionality, support and maintenance of existing functionality. This position include both senior technical support and applications development responsibilities.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for problem solving issues related to the our engineering system (ICAD) that provide instructions and programs to the shop floor through our MES systems (SFIS, RSS, CSS).
- Has responsibility for specifying, developing and distributing improvements in the systems architecture. Ex: technical infrastructure, generation of machine/operator/gauging instructions, shop floor user interface.
- Show technical leadership skills in the application of information technologies for CAD/CAM/CAE, shop floor information systems, and manufacturing solutions.
- Lead systems related projects including planning, testing, execution and implementation of new software functionality.
- Resolve user problems and/or escalate to the person responsible for resolving the problem. Communicate anticipated results and problem resolutions to internal customers.
- Maintain and enhance the integration of manufacturing and business systems within the Asheboro business.
- Perform system maintenance, continuous improvement, and major development efforts to support the mfg facility.
- Understand the business processes and the technical computer architecture that has been integrated into the plant to facilitate those processes.
- Be willing to provide support for our manufacturing systems on a 24 hr/day, 7 day/week basis. This is extremely important due to the extensive integration of systems and business processes in our manufacturing environment.
Education:
Bachelor Degree Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent Required
Skill/Experience:
Computer Programming/Coding--experience with programming languages (ex. LISP, SQL, PLSQL, etc.) 2 years required; 5 years preferred
Engineering or Computer Science Experience in Manufacturing Environment--experience with utomated engineering systems providing programs/instructions to mfg operations. 2 years required; 5 years perferred
