We are seeking an Accessories Engineer to support the startup and operation of a new MRO site, with primary responsibility for the Accessories area.This role requires a professional with strong knowledge of GE Aerospace processes and hands-on experience across maintenance, repair, and overhaul operations involving Gearboxes, Electrical QEC, LRUs, and External Parts Inspection and Repair.
The successful candidate will provide technical and operational support for shop processes, drive continuous improvement initiatives using FLIGHT DECK methodology and tools, and help implement new processes while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Job Description
Provide engineering support for the disassembly, inspection, repair, assembly, and test processes of gearboxes, accessories, LEAP Electrical QEC, and external parts
Support LRU Inspection and external parts inspection and repair activities within the Accessories area
Monitor, support, and implement production flow improvements using FLIGHT DECK methodology and tools
Develop and execute initiatives and projects focused on quality, safety, productivity, and cost reduction
Support and execute the implementation plan for new processes at the new MRO site
Prepare technical rejection reports for nonconforming products identified during the process
Work cross-functionally with operations, quality, and support teams to ensure process readiness and operational excellence
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and compliance with applicable procedures and standards
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor's degree completed in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Production Engineering
Fluent English is required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Experience with GE Aerospace MRO processes is strongly preferred
Knowledge of shop processes related to disassembly, inspection, repair, assembly, and test
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work in a dynamic environment supporting the ramp-up of a new operation
Desired Characteristics
Experience in MRO operations within the aerospace industry
Familiarity with GE Aerospace products and processes
Practical experience applying FLIGHT DECK principles and lean tools
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Proven ability to lead improvement projects and support process implementation
