About the Role

Recruiter – University & Early Talent Recruiting

Contract Length: 1 Year (Potential for Conversion) Location: Texas or California Area (Candidates may be based near any major airport) Work Setup: Remote with Extensive Travel

Our client is seeking an experienced Recruiter to support university and early talent hiring initiatives focused exclusively on intern recruiting. This Recruiter role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building strong university partnerships, and is passionate about creating exceptional candidate experiences through campus engagement and recruiting events.

Recruiter Responsibilities
  • Manage full life-cycle recruiting processes focused exclusively on intern and early talent hiring
  • Partner with 5–6 universities to build and maintain strong campus recruiting relationships
  • Attend and support career fairs, campus recruiting events, networking sessions, and university engagement activities
  • Source, identify, and engage qualified intern candidates using strategic recruiting methods
  • Conduct phone screens and interviews to evaluate candidate qualifications, skills, and cultural fit
  • Coordinate interview schedules, candidate communications, and hiring activities throughout the recruiting process
  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and provide recruiting recommendations
  • Plan, organize, and support recruiting events and campus initiatives to strengthen employer branding
  • Maintain accurate candidate activity and recruiting data within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Deliver a positive candidate experience while effectively representing the company and career opportunities
  • Travel up to 60% of the time to support recruiting initiatives and university partnerships
  • Manage recruiting activity with heavier travel periods beginning around January, with limited travel expected from September through November
Recruiter Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5–7 years of recruiting experience, preferably in university, campus, or early talent recruiting
  • Experience managing full life-cycle recruiting in a high-volume environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 60% of the time
  • Must be located near a major airport to support frequent travel requirements
  • Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience using ATS platforms and recruitment technologies
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced recruiting environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting career fairs, recruiting events, or campus engagement initiatives
  • Event planning or event coordination experience strongly preferred
  • Corporate recruiting experience preferred
  • Experience supporting internship or early career talent programs

This Recruiter opportunity offers the chance to work closely with universities and emerging talent while supporting impactful internship hiring initiatives. The ideal Recruiter will bring strong sourcing expertise, campus recruiting experience, and the ability to build lasting relationships with students, universities, and hiring leaders.
