About the Role
Counselor Educator Position
Join our team of student-focused individuals working together in order to encourage intellectual and spiritual growth, leadership and service.
The Department of Counseling at University of the Cumberlands seeks a counselor educator to join our faculty as an assistant or associate professor.Primary responsibilities will include teaching three counseling courses each semester (fall, spring and summer) in the areas of clinical mental health, addiction treatment and counselor education and supervision.This position serves both masters and doctoral students.Faculty members are expected to participate in shared faculty governance, curriculum development, recruitment, student advisement, dissertation committees, scholarly research, and professional service activities.

Required Qualifications:
Earned doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACREP accredited program.
Licensed as a Professional Counselor, or eligible
Record of professional engagement and scholarly productivity within the counseling profession.
Experience teaching online and using a variety of instructional technology and delivery methods
Demonstrated experience working in clinical mental health and/or addiction treatment
Effective oral and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledgeable of CACREP-accredited counseling programs
Experience in clinical supervision
Experience chairing dissertation committees
Experience teaching doctoral level classes
Compensation: Commensurate with expertise and experience
